Mechanical Design Intern at Escorts-Kubota,Delhi

During my internship at Escorts Kubota Limited, I worked on the project "Tractor System Leakage Analysis and Optimization with Effective Remediation And Enhanced Efficiency" in the Transmission Department. My focus was on identifying and analyzing leakage points in tractor systems, aiming to optimize performance and reduce inefficiencies. With guidance from Sunil Bhatt sir (Deputy Manager) and Pushpendra Singh sir (Manager, Transmission Department), I gained hands-on experience solving real-world engineering challenges.

The project started with leakage identification using the CMM lab, where precise measurements of components like seals and joints were taken to locate critical leakage areas. Following this, I applied FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to understand the root causes and prioritize the most severe issues. This structured approach ensured that our solutions targeted the most impactful areas.

Next, I worked on remediation and optimization, recommending design improvements and material choices to prevent future leaks. The focus was not just on fixing existing issues but also on enhancing the system's efficiency and durability for long-term performance.

The result was a significant improvement in the system, reducing downtime, saving costs, and increasing component lifespan. I was honored to receive an appreciation letter from Pushpendra Singh sir for my contributions. This internship was a fantastic learning opportunity, helping me develop practical skills in mechanical design and system optimisation.
